So far:
- I can somewhat replicate what a native speaker says assuming the speed isn't too quick and the vocab isn't too complex
- I have increased my speed in speaking Japanese since the beginning of the year (obviously).
- I can understand general parts of a sentence even if I do not fully comprehend the meaning by listening for the particles that segment a sentence.
What needs to be improved on:
- I think I could build more confidence in speaking in order to develop a more natural and personalized tone and flow.
- I definitely need to sort out the differences between Japanese grammar and Korean grammar (ie. I always forget to put a の between the location and a location word).
- I think I still could do more to practice Japanese such as attending language table or speaking with some of my friends who are better at Japanese than me. By doing so, I can improve my natural speed.
- I also need to practice speaking so that it doesn't take as long to say a sentence. Sometimes I'm still stuck in the process of piecing the parts of a sentence together when I'm speaking. Of course this is something that disappears after more than just one year of class.
じゃあ、また!
